Projects

Nils has developed sustained work in the design, implementation, and consulting of projects focused on the promotion of birdwatching among Cuban community, field biology programs centered on birds and reptiles, and taxonomic studies. He also serves as an eBird editor and reviewer in Cuba, contributing to the validation and quality of the country’s ornithological records, while preparing books and publications that have become essential references for biodiversity research and conservation work.

He integrates this scientific activity seamlessly with specialized birdwatching and nature tours, creating a model in which responsible ornithological tourism directly supports the funding and continuity of his own research projects. In this way, each field experience offers not only strong educational and professional value, but also actively contributes to the generation of scientific knowledge in Cuba.
